FIRST COMMISSION

To start out, here’s a picture my friend Wayne, aka pizzapony, drew for me. He got the idea about 2 weeks ago at my house when, after a couple drinks, he wanted to draw and thought a pizza box would be a perfectly acceptable substitute for paper. Next day, we see it again, and hey, it looks pretty cool, it’s a pretty fun gimmick, and it’s all complimented by the fact that he’s actually a great artist.
I happened to be covering the pizza the night that this was drawn, so I got him to commision a Trixie for me in return. Trixie is my favorire pony, and the combination of cute-yet-smug in this picture captures her perfectly.
You can follow him at pizza-pony.tumblr.com, he does livestreams of drawing on his tablet as well as some Yu-Gi-Oh matches, and also puts up his drawings, on both paper and pizza boxes.
First blog post
So, I was thinking today that, maybe I want to keep a blog of sorts going now. I’ve been writing more often as of late with an anime blog I’m apart of, and just kind of want to express some day to day thoughts. More in-depth than Facebook, perhaps.
I chose tumblr because, well, I’m on here almost every day anyways, but I never actually post anything at all, I just look at others’ posts. Well, it’s time to add my own contributions, and even if nobody’s following me, hey, at least I have an outlet.
A little about me, first of all. My name is Alex, 19 years old, and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. My main hobbies are playing card games, watching various shows and movies, and of course hanging out with friends, some of which you can find here on tumblr, and I’ll link to their pages later. My interests are wrestling and wrestling games, various card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh and Vanguard, and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and it’s fandom, the reason why I even made a tumblr account.
I figure I’ll be doing some other stuff here other than just blogging, like maybe share some pictures or videos I like that I find around the web. I might do some wrestling recap as well, I’ve always liked to give my opinions on the events but I find message boards aren’t a very good forum for long, in depth analytical review, and it goes unread on Facebook. Expect a lot of pony stuff. A lot. My bronyism usually fluxuates from month to month or so, but it’s not uncommon for me to eat, sleep and breathe ponies for a few days. I may also incorporate my Yu-Gi-Oh channel, SteelDragonDuels, in here, to advertise my content and get the tumblr crowd into the fun.
All in all, I hope you’ll enjoy some of the content I have to share. This is mostly just to make me feel like I can contribute to the internet in some way, but hey, if I legitimately do that, that would be pretty cool too. Enjoy!
